Friday I stayed home sick from work, but by the evening I felt well enough to meet up with friends for Pho! I love Pho, and Rocky even came out to Pho before he had to head into work (he works graveyards) which was very sweet. I may not get to see him quite as much as I'd like, but I am completely impressed that he makes time for me when he can in his busy schedule-he really makes an effort to.
Saturday we threw a party because my friend David is in town. I haven't seen him since he moved to Seattle months ago, so it was fun! He makes me happy! Also, a very happy drunk Meggy makes me happy too-she was hilarious! The few friends who dared the snow to attend were a lot of fun, I was so glad to have them there! It's safe to say I got pretty smashed... But so did most others, and Julie fell asleep behind the couch when we were watching stand-up comedy and eating Betos... lol

Sunday left me feeling pretty antisocial, so after breakfast when the roommate and Julie left I vegged out until I worked up enough energy to put together my art table that has been waiting for me since December... It was fun building the legs, but then when it came to the table top, I was disheartened to realize that I somehow made it home with a table top that doesn't fit the legs I bought. Grr. Now I have to go back to IKEA and exchange them...
I find it humorous though that my nailpolish kept leaving marks on the wood! Haha!

I am really missing being creative, so once I get the desk back together I'm hoping I can update my shop with lovely new items, and cheer myself up with some creation.
I've been feeling a little blue lately, so let's focus on the happy this week:
- Good smoothies make me happy. I tried them with fresh pineapple and coconut water and am in LOVE. My favorite was fresh pineapple + frozen peaches + frozen mango + coconut water-so delcious!

- Rocky making time for me whenever he can in his busy schedule-so sweet!
- My friends-they're amazing and I don't know what I'd do without them!
How was your weekend?

Your weekend looked fun! I am just a few weeks pregnant, and was completely drained. I had a LAZY weekend.
ReplyDeleteI am glad you had a good one.
Pho? I don't know what this is... apparently I am not living?? I MUST try this!!!
ReplyDeleteBummer about your desk. Do they still have it so that you can get the right top? I have a new makeup case I got for my Birthday (Nov. 3rd) that I still hven;t switched into. How lame is that!
FUN party... I love a good "friend get-together"
Love me pina colada makings... I've been doing that lately too. A lot of time I just throw in a pina colada yogurt instead of all the fresh stuff just to save time. I bet yours tastes yummier.
I spyed your Cadbury Mini's... those are my FAV!!! I forgot it's time for them. :)
I'm not sure what Pho is.. but apparently I am missing out too!
ReplyDeleteLooks like you had a really fun weekend - good thing you started feeling better!
Bummer about the desk :( that's frustrating.
Hope Spring comes to you soon. Looks like you had a great party!
ReplyDeleteCadbury Mini's make me VERY happy.
So sorry about your asthma...I suffer from it, too! At least the snow is good for something, LOL!
ReplyDeleteI love reading posts about your friends. You are a lucky duck, my dear!
What happened with the IKEA raft table? Ugh, I hate it when I don't get the right pieces/parts for stuff....that always happens to me, but when you get it fixed, you'll get to create adorable stuff *squee*
Thanks for linking-up!

RJ
