Life Lately

Life has been one interesting ride lately... Last week was pretty rough and stressful all around.  At work we are short handed and overly busy at work so it has been a major stress, and then there were some dating stresses causing me to walk around with a constant knot in my stomach.  Luckily Wednesday night was haircut night, and I swear that's therapy.  For only $35 I walk in and they hand me a cup of tea and then sit me down for a 20 minute neck, shoulder, head, and back massage with oils. Then she washes my hair, cuts it, styles it, touches up my makeup, and gives me a hug.  What more do you need?  Therapy I say!

Then of course I went home and tried to dye it red, though it didn't turn out to be the color I wanted-so next month I have an appointment to do it professionally.  Jaimie (my stylist) is going to cut and color it all together and give me the nice copper color I'm yearning for.

After my haircut I indulged in a little retail therapy.  I had to have new jeans, and lucky for me I was able to buy one brand/pair in a smaller size-go me! I really need to get back on the health bandwagon.  I also picked up two new cute graphic shirts from Torrid.

Thursday night after work I met Rocky for Thai food.  It was a little awkward (for me anyway) at first, since we were meeting on Valentine's day for the first get-together since our big whatever it was on Saturday.  Long story short (which will be discussed in some later post I'm sure) we decided to stop stressing about it and let it be whatever it was going to be.  I'm not entirely sure how to do that, but it's a learning process I guess.

Since it was Valentine's Day I stopped on the way home and bought myself flowers.  They're so lovely.  Cyclamin and I get along quite well-and the pink flowers are hearty but the red ones are demanding water every day-finicky little things.

Friday was super stressful at work, then I left for lunch and was out less than 20 minutes when I encountered a lady who laid on her horn because I wouldn't turn into oncoming traffic, a redneck asshat who almost hit me in the PARKING LOT of a store, then rolled down his windows to scream at me about crosswalks-in a freaking parking lot.  What a jerk.  Then a bunch of teenage boys who were saying lewd things as I left the store.  Some days I really hate people.  Suffice it to say by the time I got home that night I needed a big drink...

So we went to El Chihuahua and I drank two death stars-which turned out to be a huge mistake since I was sicker than crap after... Giant syrupy alcohol and mexican food are no bueno together.  Then we walked across the street to play some old school arcade, and after that we walked upstairs to the bar where we watched Karaoke for a bit, and the night ended at Piper Down for more drinks.
