Pool, Good eats, and Cute Babies!

Friday night found me with last minute plans to pick up my grandmother and run down to have dinner with my family for my sister-in-law's birthday.  We went to a good Mexican place and then back to their house for pool, cake, and ice cream.  It was a lot of fun.  She's also a nail-polish addict, so I bought a bunch of them and put them in a bag.  I was happy she loved them, and that we had such a good night.

Saturday I was supposed to go to a party but opted instead to go up and keep Kristi company since she's still hooked to her oxygen tank and all of her other friends had gone to Haunted Houses.  It was awesome to hang out with her and her kiddos, especially that sweet little baby.  They make me happy.

Sunday we had our CFPU Howl-O-Ween post-mortem to discuss how the event went and what we can do better.  I still need to do a recap of that with some photos.  We went to Cafe Trio in SLC, and it was delicious.  I had Challah French Toast with Lemon ricotta, toasted almonds, and blackberry syrup.  I also had the house cider with a little whiskey (way too early to drink whiskey-FYI!) and it was delicious!  Good food and drinks make me happy!

Then Sunday night I had another date with the guy I mentioned last week.  We went to The Devil's Daughter to have their super nachos, a few beers, and play pool.  It was a really good time, and I'm even more into him after that.  He's very sweet, and for a guy that's leaving in 5 days he is genuinely trying to get to know me, not just in my pants.  I'm impressed, and will be very sad when he leaves.  I am happy that I met him, and that I get to spend this time with him, even with the looming departure.

Other things I'm happy for:

• That I'm finally growing up, and being okay with it.  More to come on this...
• Wine.  Wine makes me very happy.
• My new cell phone case came and it is adorable.
