Friday night I volunteered with Josh at Gay Bingo, and we had a great time! Julie, awkward David, and Deedee all came with us. Dee even had to wear the wig o'shame. Remember when I wore it?
Bingo is hosted at the FOE every month, so when it was over we went next door to sing karaoke at the bar part of the building. It's pretty divey and redneck-ish, but it was sooooo much fun. You should have seen some of the redneck people singing old country songs-I loved it! (P.S. I'm allowed to say redneck, I was raised on a farm in a redneck community. That's my hood-yo. ha!) We also did some dancing, and it was hilarious. We had a great time.
On the way home from Bingo we decided we needed some good drunk food and stopped off at Betos. Like you do... While inside there was this crazy homeless chick ordering food in front of us, and no one said anything to her as we waited patiently. All of the sudden she looks right at Julie and starts yelling/rapping (yes it was a yell-rap that rhymed and everything) about how she should shut her "fat white mouth" and be grateful she has a home and wasn't homeless. She kept accusing Julie of saying something to her (even though she didn't make a peep) and saying how she should volunteer at a homeless shelter, and how she was going to meet us at the street and cut all our lips open.
It was kind of scary, and kind of funny... Deedee kept giggling and I just kept saying "Deedee, shut up! You'll get us killed!" haha... The employees eventually had to throw the crazy homeless girl (who we were pretty sure was on meth) out, and we snuck out the back door... I've lived in the city for three years and this was the first time I actually had to worry about something like this. I need some pepper spray.
We then went home to eat, and watch Josh practice some crazy yoga. That boy is skilled.
Saturday I woke up and Julie and I walked down to the 9th & 9th festival. It was a great time as we wandered and found some new local artists and shops to check out, and then I met Julies little cousin Alex for the first time. He was a nice guy.
After the festival we went to Chinese food, and then we made the trip to Maggie Moos to get ice cream.
Sunday I had my meeting with CFPU for the Howl-O-Ween Event, and that evening Josh and I went to see Snow White & the Huntsman at the dollar theater. It was pretty good-other than Kristen Stewart really is emotionless... Her eyes always look completely and utterly stoned, no matter what her voice or body language is saying. But Chris Hemsworth is HOT and Charlize Theron is an amazing actress. She's seriously worth the whole movie, and her costumes are fantastic!
