Thursday, July 19th
The fourth day of the trip was the only day we didn't book camping.
We wanted to camp up in the Northern Redwoods which is first come first serve.
However by the time we got to the Gold Coast Campground it was full.
After journeying further in to Elk Prairie Campground we found it full too.
So we ended up in Patrick's Point, which was AMAZING!
They had two tent sites available for one night, so we were just in luck.
The campsite was nothing special, we were close to redneck neighbors.
After setting up we decided to go out on a hike.

The path was fun, and there were little bunnies everywhere!

The trail was so lush and green...

And then you come out of the foliage and see this:

So of course we went off exploring. They climbed down on the rocks.

I stayed up and took pictures.

Then I look down and Julie points over at a seal laying there!

He's just hanging out, napping and raising his head now to check them out.

There are actually two over there!

Julie and Josh are finding all sorts of cool things.
Muscles, Starfish, etc.!

Someone had come by and told us there were hundreds of seals around the corner.
So we hit the trail to see where else it leads.
We come to one small lookout and stand by this giant twisty tree.

And down below are tons of harbor seals, out of reach and napping.

The trail has lots of fun stuff, like places you have to climb down and foliage caves.

And wobbly bridges!
Then you come around the bend to Palmer's Point.
With a view like this:
And you can look back and see where we just were...

They also have information on the wildlife there.

And more harbor seals, and cute little benches...

We thought about going down to the tide pools, but it was late and we were hungry.
We went back to camp for hotdogs and our fire.

That night it rained all night long.
The sound of rain on a tent is a beautiful thing.

I love the photos in this post. So beautiful!
