Watercolor, Deathstars, & Happiness

Last week I was feeling the art, so I came home and worked on some watercolor.  What do you think?  Creating art again makes me happy.

Thursday night I had a craving for Homemade Pizza. Which, for the record, costs more than just ordering Pizza.  But it was GOOD! One was Marinara, and one was Alfredo (Julie hates red sauce) but both were whole wheat crusts and each had a vegetarian side.  It was fantastic.  Good food makes me happy.  Probably too happy...

Friday night I hung out with Shawn and Justin and met their newest addition to the family.  She's so cute, and they are crazy cat ladies.  I love it.  We then went to El Chihuahua for Death Stars.  It was necessary! Death stars and cute kitties make me happy.

Saturday Josh's cousin Dee came down, and we all went and saw Magic Mike.  While it was very pretty to watch all those half naked men, the movie kind of sucked... The main girl was flat in a Kristin-Stewart-but-less-pretty kind of way (she really had no emotions!) and I found myself wishing they hadn't attempted a plot line and just put half naked men up the whole time.  Oh well, the half naked men were worth the movie ticket price-half naked pretty men make me happyThen we went home, ordered Chinese food, got drunk, and played Rock Band.  It was a good time! :)

Sunday Josh, Julie and I started planning for our trip.  We'd hammered out all of the reservations already Saturday morning, so we went shopping for camping goodies.  I'm so excited for this trip! I'm happy that we are leaving soon! We're leaving really early next Monday (the 16th) and we're driving the 10-11 hours to Redding, CA where we'll stop for the night.  Then Tuesday we're headed into Humboldt to camp for a few nights.  Thursday we're going to try and camp along the coast (the campground is first-come-first-serve so we're going to have to see what we can get) or head up into OR.  Then Friday it's back to Humboldt, Saturday into Sacramento for the day, and head all the way home on Sunday from there.  I'm sooo excited!

We'll be staying here! ^  via
I was also happy that we were invited to a BBQ at the house of our friends who run the rescue I volunteer for.  It was a good time. Good food, good beer, and they have a cute place!

  3. Someone else also talked about her terrible acting. Thank goodness for half naked men who were probably the only positive in the movie.

  5. As I said of your road trip last year, I'm jealous. Magic Mike was a lot of fun. Half-Naked Eye Candy is always a good thing.
