Chaotic and Filled with Wanderlust

I Am

I am chaotic and filled with wanderlust
I wonder when the time will come to move
I hear the elementals whisper "go! go!"
I see glitter-shaped sun spots on the horizon
I want to know what it feels like to fall
I am chaotic and filled with wanderlust

I pretend to be fine with these roots
I feel like I am part of so much more
I touch the hidden corners of my heart
I worry that they'll become eroded over time
I cry because I can't not cry at times like these
I am chaotic and filled with wanderlust

I understand the fine line between crazy and brilliant
I say those differences are a matter of perception
I dream sun-kissed mountain tops and far away places
I try to be everything I know I should be
I hope that I am enough
I am chaotic and filled with wanderlust

  1. Stopping by from Mama Kats...
Having the desire to go is a great feeling to have. To use the phrase from an old Nike commercial "Just Do it".

    Thanks for sharing,

  2. Ahh...wanderlust. That's a new word to me, but the definition is totally me. I long to go to faraway places. The world calls to me too, but I am trapped inside 4 walls. Maybe someday when my kids are older, I can finally answer that call... :)
