I Confess...
I am so relieved that taking my cat to the vet (even though it cost me $300) found out that she just needs medication and doesn't need to be put down. Apparently she has an auto-immune disorder and an ulcer in her mouth and she hasn't been eating well because it hurts. They gave her steroids and sent her home with antibiotics with strict instructions for soft cat food. Once her mouth starts feeling better she'll start grooming better soon too.
Also, I didn't know this but the vet told me that she is about one in 10,000 cats. Apparently female cats that are orange are super rare.

While volunteering makes me feel really really good, and I'm looking for more opportunities to do so, I am still very puppy hungry. I can't wait to have a house where I can have a dog! In the meantime, I fall in love with puppies on FB.
This is Charlie, and he is a mixed breed dog in Texas that needs three months of heartworm treatment to save his life. After those three months, if I have my house, he may be coming to live with me. Tonight is Bingo time, and the charity this month is Cause for Paws Utah! It's like my two favorite charities are colliding, I'm SOOOO excited!

ReplyDeletei did not know that about orange kittens. my mom has a girl orange cat, ginger. she is one of the sweetest little cats i know, too. glad to see little pumpkin doing better, it woulda been too sad if you had to put her down..i dont think i could ever make that decision.
