I Confess: I'm Puppy Hungry

I confess that I went to Torrid yesterday and spent $156.  This isn't even my spending paycheck, but all I bought were two pairs of pants and two bras-so it was necessary.

I confess that I'm even more addicted to Pinterest these days than ever.  I must pin thousands of things a week...

Well, I just do the house part...
I confess that I've spent far too much time looking through Facebook pages for places like Cause for Paws, Humane Society, and the Tooele Animal Outreach because I'm dreaming of having a dog... Puppy hungry is better than baby hungry right?

If I could take him home, I would.
This is Ringo, he's available for adoption.

I confess that I"m seriously considering volunteering with the shelter, but I'm a little afraid to since I'll want to take all of them home with me.  I've thought about fostering when I get a house, but I don't think I can part with them if I foster them.

This is Razzle. I'd also take him home.
He's going to be euthanized on the 8th if he doesn't find a home.
It completely breaks my heart.
If anyone wants to adopt him, they can sometimes arrange for transport.

I confess that I fell asleep in the Dentist's chair last night...  I can't wait until tomorrow so I can sleep in!

I confess that I'm super glad it's Friday.  I want to sleep in tomorrow!

What do you have to confess?

  2. As much as I adore my puppy, if I could go back, I would have waited a few more years before I got him. I have spent close to $1500 in vet bills in 5 months, and my social life has taken a hit because I can't go out and do whatever I want anymore, whenever I want. It's kind of like having a kid- it really does change your life. But I know what you mean about getting puppy hungry, once I had it in my head that I was getting one, there was no stopping me! I would TOTALLY get Razzle- he's adorable!!

  3. I miss my pup...he's at doggy boarding school for two weeks. Cause I got bit while he was trying to protect me. It kills me that he isn't here though.
I would be an TERRIBLE foster. We "fostered" a kitty a couple years ago...she's asleep on the couch next to me...so yeah...that worked ;o)
My cousin volunteers at a no-kill cat shelter and LOVES it.

  5. S.D. knows to find us a place that allows pets because I told him that I cannot live without a dog. There's just something about them that seriously fills up a void.

  6. You should totally volunteer! It'll give you a good feel for the breeds and personalities and responsibilities. And it's a good first step before fostering. :)

  7. Awe, I hope Razzle finds a home! :( My office is right beside a humane shelter, and volunteers walk dogs right by my window all day. It's so hard for me not to go adopt every single one of them!

  8. I risked my marriage to get a dog. Seriously. He still doesn't acknowledge that we had a dog.
Fostering is a good idea! Helps you find the one the fits best with you and help the others on their way to good homes.
