First thing, it was brought to my attention that there is an opening for a junior Technical Writer with my company's Documentation team last night. I'm nervous about applying. Mostly because I'm afraid of change, here are my pro's and cons:
| Pros |
Cons |
| Possible pay increase. |
I am good at what I do now. |
| I want to get my degree in Technical Writing |
I have job security. |
| I'd get holidays off |
I have friends here. |
| Better hours. |
I win awards regularly. |
| Less stress... |
Change scares me. |
I figure, what the hell-I'm going to apply and see what happens.

Oh, what I would give for a complete kitchen overhaul! I can't decide which one of these I like best!

job changes are scary but the pros sound pretty good.
ReplyDeleteLoving those kitchens!!! Dream ones, for sure!
ReplyDeleteSometimes the scariest decisions we make turn out to be the best. Onward and upward. Better to go for it than not and to always have wondered "what if?".

It NEVER hurts to apply, and interview. And if you get offered the position, you can meet the team and whatnot before you have to make a decision. Good for you! :D
