First off, Happy New Year!
I rang in the new year with a handful of close friends, and a lot of booze.
It was small and kind of chill, but with my nearest and dearest friends.
My goal for this year is to live more simply.
Also, sadly I have to say R.I.P. Nimh and Basil.
We left a friend's dog in my apartment while we went to breakfast, and when we came back they were dead. I didn't see any of the mess, Josh, Doug and Julie were kind enough to make me wait outside while they took care of it. From what we can figure the dog must have knocked it over and when they ran around he tried to play with them, and being so much larger and them so fragile, it didn't end well.
They were just a year old and I loved them so.
They were so sweet, loving, and genuinely happy to see me.
My poor sweet little babies.
I'm not sure if I want to get any more now...
Aww...so sorry my love! RIP little ones.

oh no...so sad. i bet the dog owner feels horrible. i am sure the dog just wanted to play. maybe in time you will want new little fur friends.

That's so awful. I'm glad you didn't see anything, but knowing they're no longer there is so sad. There's no where to go but up from here, right?

Give your heart time to heal- you don't have to make a decision about getting more pets anytime soon. *hug*
ReplyDeleteAlso, cheers to living more simply (that one took me a while to figure out, and has involved a lot of saying "no, thanks", but is a happier way to live for me). I am sure it will work out- just focus more on YOU and what makes you happy.
