I am HAPPY because it's finally the weekend, and I feel like this was a very productive week! I killed the numbers at work this week!

I am HAPPY because this week was full of awesome.  It just seems like despite the fact that I am still sick, there was lots of fun, and little bits of happy spread throughout.

I am HAPPY because last night was Bird's birthday/going away party, and it was fun!

I am HAPPY because I got to meet see Hal Sparks this week, and because the roommate got to talk to him and meet him and he loves Hal too!

I am HAPPY because the roommate seems a lot happier lately too.  We've had a lot of good talks and I love to see him feeling good and loving life.  :)

I am HAPPY because my friend Max got his game published, and we're going to the release party tonight!  Check out the Game info by clicking on the zombie hand below!

I am HAPPY because the snakes seem to be almost Mite free! Pretty soon everything should get back to normal!

I am HAPPY because Eric Himan is coming to my town, especially for us! He told me "Even if we play in the parking lot of our hotel, we have to play something for Angela, and the gang"  How sweet is that?

I am HAPPY because I regularly have amazing moments with these three wonderful people.  They're part of my family.

I am HAPPY because Spring is trying to poke it's pretty little head through, and there's a pretty little Blue Jay that sits outside my window in the mornings.  Life is beautiful!

Friday Confessional

I confess...
I'm having the very strong urge to clean up Facebook.  Mostly for the fact that there are people I used to work with, or people I went to High School with that I have no interaction whatsoever with (and not for lack of trying-some of them are pretty stuck up) and it's just annoying, so why keep them as friends?  I feel closer to a lot of you bloggy buddies I've added than I do for some people I know IRL and have spent years of time being friends with.  I think I'll do that before end of day.

I really am hoping Hal Sparks comes back again sometime soon, he was SO funny and it was such a fun outing to go to his show.  I really enjoyed it!

When a span of days goes by and there are very few comments on my blog, I really worry about y'all.  Especially those of you who are daily visitors.  Mostly in the "I hope so-and-so is ok, or that so-and-so starts feeling better soon..."  You are loved.

My all time favorite singer/songwriter Eric Himan announced yesterday that he has a tour date for my city (since I've been begging him forever-and he's a facebook friend) and so I emailed him and offered to help out in anyway.  He responded that he still hadn't found a place yet (we've been looking, none of the venues are responding to us) and when I joked and offered to host it at my apartment, he said we should actually do that! I'm going to have a whole post about this soon-it's just too much awesome for one little confessiong-I am stoked!

My hormones are so weird when my aunt Flow comes to visit.  For the week before I get really emotional and frustrated, but the minute it actually comes and everything gets moving-it's like an instant switch to cheerful.  Almost like nothing can bring me down-even though it hurts like a bitch! I wonder why that is?

I honestly don't care if that last confession was TMI.  Get over it.  Hahaha!

I'm going to try my hand at making cream cheese brownies from scratch tonight for the first time. No, not special brownies (unfortunately-lol!) but this should be fun. It's for my friend David's bday party that the roommie and I are hosting at our place.

I Really Love Hal Sparks

Last night I was lucky enough to get to see Hal Sparks do his stand-up comedy live, and he was BRILLIANT.  I've always loved him, way back to the days when I fell in love with his character (Michael Novotny) in Queer As Folk during those evenings when Kristi and I would scoot the couch up, snuggle up with blankets and junk food, and "get our QAF on/"  It helps that my roommate is also in love with him, so we jumped at the chance to buy tickets when we heard he was coming to Wise Guys here in SLC.

Anyway, last night he was HILARIOUS! I haven't laughed so hard in a very long time, and then after the show we spoke to him for a minute and he was very down to earth and friendly.  You have to love it when a celebrity is actually a human being, and actually cares about their fans.  So, I think this warrented another Man-Candy post, seeing as I'm totally in love with the guy.

How can you not love him even more for being a part of the NoH8 Campaign? Anyone who knows me, knows I'm VERY pro Equal Rights.  Last night he said "Tell me what's wrong with this: We live in a culture where being fat is considered GENETIC, but being gay is considered a CHOICE! Let me tell you, ANYONE can go to the gym and lose weight, but you can't go to the gym and turn straight."  He went on to say "And if it is a choice, why limit yourself to just Gay or Straight when there's so many other options out there?"  Now, while he's being funny, all of his jokes have so much truth behind them-which I love, because you can tell that he really means them, and that he is very involved with his material.

What I'm Loving Wednesday

I am loving all things owl.  I don't know why, it's an obsession I guess...

I am loving patchwork skirts... I really really want one... I need to make myself one, or commission someone to do it for me... It takes me back to those witchy days when I was 19-20 running through the park in the middle of the night with Grace... It also appeals to that part of me that wishes to be a Hippie. :)
