For the next six weeks I will:
(That's until Feb. 26th)
Diet:
- Give up all Soda/carbonated sugary beverages. (Already Started)
- Give up candy. I can eat home baked goods (on occasion), but no candy. I'm hoping that by the end of these 6 weeks I wont even want it anymore.
- Give up liquor/booze. Those things are HIGH in calories. If I drink-it's only wine.
- WAY less dining out. We're going to cook healthy food.
- Eat under 1400 Calories a day.
Starting the 30 day challenge again, but instead of making it 30 consecutive days-I'm only doing it Monday through Friday and making it the 6 week thing. Each level of the workout will be 2 weeks (since each one is 10 days) and it will give me a little break on the weekends.
My goal is to lose 20 pounds before March 16... Which is when I go to New York! I am SO excited!

i am not sure i could give up my diet pepsi...God speed my friend!
ReplyDeleteGood luck Hun... it sounds like a good start. It took me a while to give up pop, but I've been off it now for quite some time. After a while you stop craving the junk.
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to hearing your weekly progress.
All the best,
Kim
Best of luck, I admire you for making that commitment. I can't even get that far. lol
ReplyDeleteBest of luck!
ReplyDeleteFor the drinking thing-try wine spritzers. It cuts the calories in wine in half.
Now that the holidays are over, I'm really trying to be more active/eat better too.
Yay goals! :)
ReplyDeleteHome cooking is always fun. Before I became a vegetarian (back when my mom actually cooked for me, sigh) I had no idea how awesome and healthy it could be! :D
I will join you...You're right about liquor. The liver works extra hard to process it instead of processing fat, so fat is left off :( My downfall is peanuts!
ReplyDeleteI'm pretty much doing about the same thing right now! I have been off all pop since Jan 2nd, and I already feel great!
ReplyDelete& also, so psyched about the swap, I feel like we will have lots in common! :)
Don't be too hard on yourself. I believe in a healthier lifestyle but it sounds like you're demanding a bit too much(?) anyways, I like your super cute blog! Good luck:-)
ReplyDeleteGood call! I'm starting with exercise, but likely will have to start counting calories again soon. Bother.
ReplyDeleteGiving up sodas is SOOOOO good! Seriously, they are the cause of a lot of bad stuff. Scotsman is trying to give them up, too. It helps to always have juice and iced tea and such on hand, for when you're craving something with more flavor than water. :)
Personally, I'm also cutting way back on the sugary dessert coffee drinks (hello, Starbucks!), by only getting them once a week (black coffee, with a dollop of almond milk, the other days), and getting sugar-free syrup.
I think you're also correct that you won't crave it once it gets fully out of your system, hopefully in just a couple of weeks.
If I may add....I suggest also putting a goal on there of drinking at least 40 oz of water a day. Drinking water before a meal will cause you to crave smaller portions, as it fills you up. Plus it's fantastic for hair, skin, digestion, and immune system. I use a big 32 oz bottle and make sure I drink at least one and a half per day. Maybe that will help with the sugar cravings, too? Good luck!
yay - you can do it!
