From this moment on, right now, as you read this, make a solemn vow about your romantic relationships: no more murky, no more unidentified, and no more undeclared. And if at all possible, try to know someone as best you can before you get naked with them.
- He's Just Not That Into You by Greg Behrendt & Liz Tuccillo pg, 42

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Run over to Should Be Reading to see how to play and to join in the fun!
Going to throw in a quick RTT at the bottom here!

♥ If you're visiting, check out yesterday's post where I list (with gorgeous pictures) my Top 20 Hottest Male Celebrities!
♥ I actually like taking calls at work ever since they put me in the regulatory queue. I really like tracking down issues in the tax returns and talking to the people upstairs, it makes me feel challenged and like I'm actually learning something!
♥ I got a bike! When I mentioned I'd been looking for one my coworker said she had one she wasn't using, and I went and picked it up! It needs a new back tire and a tune up, but otherwise it's fabulous! She's (I've taken to calling my bike a she) so adorable, I'll get pics after I clean it up! Thanks Josie!
♥ Also, I won two giveaways last week! Some bracelets from Along The Way and a Day Planner from A Nut in a Nutshell!
♥ So employers are starting to check Facebook when they think about hiring you, and I'll bet they search blogs too. What do you think? Do you think we need to worry a lot about what is in our blogs? Do you think someone would look at my blog and decide to not hire me because of the content? Maybe I should go more anonymous? Opinions would be appreciated.

♥ I've been doing really well with my drinking water and eating healthier, as well as I've been more active. Thursday Josh and I went rollerblading, Friday I walked all over the mall downtown, and yesterday Josh and I walked a couple miles to a few stores and back home. It's great!
♥ I have a post coming tomorrow with a response to my anonymous poster from yesterday, so come back and check it out, it's truly inspiring! I'm excited to post it!

Haha great teaser. Mine is at The Crowded Leaf.
ReplyDeleteI read this quite a few years ago when I was in a "bad" relationship. It has since changed my viewpoint on relationships. So much so that when I started dating my husband -- there were no games. There was no 'waiting' for a phonecall or wondering what he thought. I knew he was in to me before he asked me out for the next night, before our first date was over. I think all women need to read this book!
ReplyDeleteGreat teaser!

My Teaser: The Unit
Whoops.. meant to say I knew my husband was into me BECAUSE he asked me out for the next night before our first date was even over. (Sorry, it's early..)
ReplyDeleteI reaaally want to read that book. XD
ReplyDeleteOn the subject of blog content, there are a couple schools of thought. I could go into great detail here, but that would rob me of a great post. (Thanks for the inspiration!). Boiled down, I follow the xkcd camp which I love and the dooce camp which I respect. The trick is finding a balance. I generally don't have any reservations about talking about personal matters, but I do strongly adhere to a "thou shalt not talk about work" mantra. You just have to decide what you are comfortable with and stick to your guns, whatever that may entail.
ReplyDeleteDon't you just love anonymous commentors? Yeah, me too :) Happy RTT!
ReplyDeleteThis made me chuckle. Now I'm over to see your hotties :)
ReplyDeleteHere's my teaser for this week.
Wow, I never really thought about employers looking at blogs. I'm pretty sure I'm anonymous enough that no one could figure out who I am. Good for you on the bike. I want one so badly. They're expensive! Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteSounds like there could be lots of good advice in that book. Great teaser!
ReplyDeleteI haven't thought much about future employers looking at my blog. I honestly have my doubts that any place I would apply to are technically savvy enough to find me.
ReplyDeleteI heading over the check out the hotties.
Sounds like a great read!
ReplyDeleteI don't know how employers have enough free time to go searching for people's blogs. Seems like there would be a lowering in productivity if they started doing that.
ReplyDeleteGreat teaser :)
ReplyDeleteI haven't got a chance to read this yet, but great teaser!
ReplyDeleteIf you are working, I would totally suggest you go more anonymous. You don't want to get Dooce'd.
ReplyDeleteI actually read it a few months ago - it's quite good.
ReplyDeleteOhhh..i have seen the movie of this i think.
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting my teaser
Excellent advise. I could have probably used this book back in college a million years ago.
ReplyDeletegreat teaser and isn't that the truth!
ReplyDeletethanks for stopping by On the Bookcase.

ReplyDeleteI love it. I haven't read this book yet, but it is on my TBR list.

ReplyDeleteGreat teaser! I've seen the movie based on this book, but haven't read it. Glad you're enjoying it!
ReplyDeleteDidn't read the book but I did see the movie because Bradley Cooper is a fox. Stone Cold Fox. I also like Justin Long ever since Zach and Miri.
ReplyDeleteI loved this book! Great teaser! By the way, I really like your blog! :) Thanks for visiting my teaser!
ReplyDeleteI agree with your teaser :) I also have some friends who probably should have read this before their last relationship, lol!

I *really* should read that book. XD Good teaser!
ReplyDeleteThanks for dropping by mine! :)
haha great teaser! I haven't read it, but perhaps I should.
ReplyDeleteI also love your background! It's making me crave cupcakes
Great teaser! I also like cupcakes but not the calories. Enjoy your reading.
ReplyDeleteNice teaser! I haven't read this one but it sounds like good advice. Happy reading!
ReplyDeleteGood advice. Thanks for stopping by mine.
ReplyDeleteYes the naked thing is very important!
ReplyDeletehehehe a very interesting advice :)
ReplyDeleteThe idea of my employer reading my blog has popped up in my head. I really don't want them to read about my stupid mistakes I have made (but yet it makes me feel go to blog about them lol), or to pass judgement on something I wrote. I am not sure what the answer is. I love blogging because it gives me social outlet, but yet it can be so dangerous! lol!
ReplyDeleteA good teaser. I have not read the book, but loved the movie!
ReplyDeleteThat last point about employers checking Facebook and blogs got me! My my! Sometimes the safest of sanctuaries where you think you are free to write at will seems like it will serve as your downfall! Phew! But no, I don't think you need to go anonymous. What you write here is what you believe is true and there is not a damn thing anyone can do with truths.
ReplyDeleteLiked the post overall. :-)
